ABOUT CHRISTMAS IN PENDLETON

Christmas in Pendleton is a community-wide celebration bringing the magic of the holiday season to Downtown Pendleton.

Scheduled in early November, the event serves as the kickoff to the Christmas shopping season, encouraging our community and visitors to shop local, support small business, and discover the unique vendors and business throughout our Downtown.

Join us for festive celebration filled with local shopping, food activities, tree lighting, snowball fight and our annual Christmas parade — all while supporting the business that make Downtown Pendleton special.

Parade Rules

PARADE INFORMATION

This year’s Christmas in Pendleton theme is HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS.

Please feel free to decorate your entry to fit the theme.

We request that you DO NOT have anyone in your organization dressed as Santa Claus, because we have Santa Claus as the last float of the parade already.

Organizations are encouraged to have floats, wear Santa hats, and exhibit the spirit of Christmas in their floats!

The Parade will be an evening event beginning at 5:30 PM. Entries can be illuminated in some way!

Golf Carts are permitted to enter the parade again this year and we encourage residents to participate!

NEW: The town has implemented a new policy that entries must have volunteers walking beside their parade entry passing out candy, it is not to be thrown or tossed from the float / vehicles / trailers.

  • Parade date Saturday, November 14, 2026.

  • The parade route is TBA.

  • All floats/entries must be approved by the Parade Coordinators, Lexi Duff or Jeff Henson. After the application and wavier is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email within 5 business days.

  • All applications should be received no later than Wednesday, November 4 at 11:59 PM.

  • No floats with the following agenda(s):

    • Political Candidates

    • Support for / against debated community issues

  • Floats / entries with animals, MUST have someone following behind to clean up mess.

  • Entries should convey this year’s Christmas in Pendleton theme: HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS

  • Golf carts for businesses and residents who want to enter as a parade float are permitted to participant

  • ALL entries should try to be illuminated in some way.
